About World eSIM Map

Who runs it

World eSIM Map is built and operated by EasyTravelData, a travel eSIM shop. EasyTravelData is one of the four providers compared on this site.

A comparison site run by one of the things it compares is worth being suspicious of. We think the answer is not to claim independence we do not have, but to make the method checkable:

• One rule for all four. Every provider's row is chosen by the same published rule — the cheapest plan that provider sells lasting at least 7 days and giving at least 5 GB, or unlimited. EasyTravelData gets no exception.
• Every competitor price links to the competitor's own page. You never have to take our word for a number. Click the source link and read it yourself.
• We show where we lose. Where a competitor is cheaper, the table says so and puts them first. That is not generosity; a comparison that always produced the same winner would be worthless to you and to us.
• No money changes hands here. There are no affiliate links, no advertising and no sponsored placements anywhere on this site. Nobody pays to appear or to rank.

Two different prices, two different questions

The map colour and the comparison table often show different numbers for the same country. That is deliberate, and it is the part most likely to look like an inconsistency, so:

• The map colour uses a fixed 10 GB / 30-day basis. Comparing countries only works if the thing being compared is identical everywhere — mixing 5 GB and 50 GB plans would make the colours meaningless.
• The comparison table uses each provider's cheapest qualifying plan, because that is the fair way to compare providers against each other for one trip.

Where the two differ noticeably, the country panel says so in plain text rather than leaving you to reconcile them.

How much is actually compared

This matters more than anything else on this page. Only a minority of countries have been checked against all four providers. For the rest, the price shown is EasyTravelData's alone — it is not a market low, and other providers may well be cheaper there.

Every country panel states which of the two it is. Countries with full four-provider comparison also have their own page; countries with only our own data do not, because a page with one provider's price on it would pretend to be a comparison.

Where the numbers come from

Competitor prices are read by hand off each provider's own country page and recorded with the URL and the date. There is no affiliate feed and no scraper guessing at a page it does not understand. EasyTravelData's own prices come from its live catalogue.

Prices go stale. Anything older than 45 days is dropped from this site rather than shown with an old date. When a country's competitor data expires it falls back to "EasyTravelData only" and the warning appears automatically — the site degrades into being more cautious, not into being wrong.

What this site does not do

• It does not sell anything. There is no cart, no checkout and no account.
• It does not compare speed, network partner, throttling policy or customer support — only price and plan size. Those things matter and we do not have trustworthy data on them yet.
• It does not carry reviews or star ratings.
• It does not rank by anything other than price within the published rule.
